Hi Friends! He is Risen! I hope your Easter has been full of beauty and grace.
The last few weeks have been FULL and FUN. And I’m ready for a day off tomorrow, which I will use to paint the guest bedroom and I am typing that out so that I actually do it.
Number One: A tip for culling your photos
Last week The Lazy Genius shared this tip from someone else on Instagram, and now I can’t find it; all of which to say, not my idea. But as a daily task, go into your photos app on your phone, and type in today’s date minus the year. So for today: April 9. The app will bring up every photo ever taken on an April 9th. Which should give you a medium manageable amount to go through and delete the photos you’re never going to search for.
I wonder if this works for emails? Stay tuned.
For what it’s worth, I have all of my photos backed up on Google photos (free, lower quality, but worth it), and I pay for iCloud storage every month. But I would love to get to a place where I am only paying 99 cents a month instead of $2.99, ya know?
Number Two: Abercrombie for Spring dresses
Ole Abercrombie is quickly becoming my first stop when it comes to clothes shopping online. They have the basics, they have the trends, but they don’t have an overwhelming amount of either.
They also have just really cute spring dresses, highly recommend. I find Abercrombie to be very True To Size, except for that I HAVE to order tall for shirts and short dresses. I’m 5’8”, so maybe they run small but in a vertical sense?
Number Three: A Fun Dog Dish
I bought this puzzle feeder for Honey sort of on a whim. She was eating fast, not like too fast, but I just wanted to see if she would take to it, and oh boy has she. She LOVES it. Prefers it. I feel like it makes her the eensiest bit more tired, but in a good way.
Number Four: The Eras Tour is worth seeing in person (bring snacks for after)
Last weekend I saw Taylor’s first show in Dallas. It was an absolute blast. Easily top 3 concert of my life. So fun. Here are five little tips:
Wear comfortable shoes. Taylor performs for three hours non-stop. You will either be standing and screaming or surrounded by people standing and screaming. The rest of your body should be dressed for maximum fun.
Pay for parking, don’t try to Uber, don’t try to arrange some drop off situation. I was wary of parking, it was worth it.
I decided to run to the bathroom as the 10 minute version of All Too Well was winding down, this was the PERFECT time to go to the bathroom.
My friend Maci got tickets 10 days before the concert because she got some automated text from Seat Geek. I don’t know how she got on that list, but it was worth it.
Maci, ever wise, packed a cooler full of bottled water and snacks for after the concert and it made the hour or so we were just waiting in the parking lot 1000% better. No one likes being thirsty.
Number Five: Trader Joe’s Tomato Leaf Candle
It’s a nice one.
